Ben Wetherbee is a fiddler, singer and songwriter, artist, poet currently based in Boston. His mom, Ruth Rappaport, is a one-of-a-kind old time guitar player, singer, and pianist. His father, Peter Wetherbee, is a killer roots rock guitar player. His grandmother was a painter, and his great-grandparents were Yiddish writers. His music is rooted in the traditions of Appalachian fiddle music and rock'n'roll, with healthy doses of experimental/freely improvised music, contra dance music, freak folk, bluegrass, Cajun/Creole, and punk.
