Bio

Phil Gallery was a Page in the United States Senate from 1961-63. He observed from close range 99 men and one woman figure out how to make government work. He graduated from the Naval Academy in 1968 with a BS in nuclear physics, then drove ships across oceans named Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian. For ten years he wrote op-ed pieces for his local newspaper. He is the author of the political novel, “Presidential Election 2020: What Might Have Been”, wherein his protagonist attempts to build a bridge from both sides of our political abyss, intending to invite the willing from both sides of the abyss to join him in the middle.

In his real life, Phil Gallery is a 5' 7", 136-pound author, newspaper writer, former Naval Officer, raiser of four kids, and grower of Christmas trees. In his Walter Mitty life, he is a 6", 180-pound professional golfer, albeit on the senior tour. He has played courses throughout the United States, Asia, and Scotland, including Prestwick and the Old Course at St. Andrews. He will be happy to share his ideas on golf and life--two things he often gets mixed up. Or, if you prefer, he will simply join you in the woods for a stroll.
