Robert Strasser has mined creative veins most of his life, working, exploring, inventing. Beginning and continuing a long evolutionary path of studio ceramic arts ranging from traditional to contemporary, he has had major focus areas on red wares and slip wares, hand percussion instruments, wood firing, and biodiversity, as well as following these leads into performing music and creative writing. He lives and works in the piedmont region of the Mid-Atlantic for the most part and has spent time pursing his creative and scientific interests at home and abroad in South and Central America, Asia and Canada. He holds a BA in Biology from Earlham College and an MS from Hood College
