Bio

Annette Lindsey While visiting the Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View AR in April of 1979, Annette Lindsey fell in love with the sweet sound of the mountain dulcimer and bought her first one. That same year she and her husband, David, helped form a band that consisted of two hammered dulcimers and two mountain dulcimers and called themselves the Sweet Song String Band. They still play together today. Annette has taught beginners to advanced dulcimer players all over the United States at festivals such as Gebhard Woods Dulcimer Festival, Coshocton Dulcimer Days, Old Songs Fest, Evart Michigan Funfest, Winterfest, Lagniappe Dulcimer Festival, Glen Rose, TX, plus many others. Along with her husband, David Lindsey, they travel the US teaching and performing. Their favorite thing to do is help others find the love for the music that changed their lives so completely that day back in 1978.
