Carter Giegerich is a multi-instrumentalist based in Asheville, NC. A graduate of the Bluegrass, Old-Time and Country Music program at East Tennessee State University, Carter has immersed himself in the traditions of American roots music while striving to break new ground and bring traditional music into the modern era. His focus is on incorporating resophonic guitar into a wide variety of musical genres, ranging from country, blues and bluegrass settings to Celtic trad music, old time, and psychedelic rock. Carter is currently on tour with North Carolina-based songwriter Caleb Caudle and has performed extensively throughout the Southeast in his own projects and as a guest artist.
