Carter Giegerich is a multi-instrumentalist based in the Asheville, NC area. A graduate of the Bluegrass, Old-Time and Country Music program at East Tennessee State University, Carter has immersed himself in the traditions of American roots music while striving to break new ground and bring traditional music into the modern era. His focus is on incorporating resophonic guitar into a wide variety of musical genres, ranging from country and bluegrass settings to Celtic trad music and psychedelic rock. Carter is currently on tour with North Carolina-based songwriter Caleb Caudle and has performed extensively as a guest artist with bands throughout the Southeast as well as in his own project, Ol’ Dirty Bathtub, in the Western North Carolina region.
