Yoga means to Yoke, to Join, to Connect. Asana; a Sanskrit word, means Seat, or yoga pose. Yoga is many things to a great many people. Experience Asana (yoga poses) as a means to connect us through yoga. We will study “Why This Pose”. If you know “why” then you also know how to use it. When you need to be stimulated, there’s a pose for that; when you need to chill, there’s a pose for that too. Through the study of some of the basic yoga poses and a few fancy or delicious poses, we will explore how you can build and sustain your home yoga practice. You will have what you need in order to face the mat daily; a sequence of poses from a tool-kit of asana (poses). Most importantly, you will understand why to use a particular pose. Let’s do yoga!
