Learn to give life to your ideas! Create poems in class individually and as a group working on a collaborative poem.
Are you looking for an outlet that doesn’t require a lot of physical activity or much cognitive knowledge? Why can’t therapy be creative? This poetry class is a place where you will learn to give life to your ideas. Learn techniques for both speech and sound such as metaphors, consonance, and onomatopoeia. The students will be given categories to be paired up with core emotions, with the intention to create poems in class. Finally, the class will split into 2 groups working together on collaborative poems.
