Be adventuresome and try a genre you (probably) haven't played before. Learn about the modes and approaches used in Middle and Near Eastern music. Discover the particular characteristics of Middle and Near Eastern music and instruments through listening exercises, discussion and demonstration.

All instruments are welcome, as well as those just interested in learning about this special music!

Special tutelage will be offered on oud and ney, should any students request this focus. This class will be taught by ear but sheet music will be provided for those wishing to read.
