Bio

Starting on the Ukulele at seven years of age, and Guitar at ten, Ferebee has developed her unique musical skills, delighting audiences from D.C. to Dallas and entertaining widely in the Mid-Atlantic Region since 1974. Her impressive playing and powerful vocals soulfully transport her listeners with an eclectic mix of Traditional Flat-Picked Fiddle Tunes and Finger-Style Blues, Choice New-Grass and Americana Songs, Jazz Standards and Nice Originals thrown in for good measure.

As a patient and enthusiastic instructor, she teaches guitar, voice, mandolin, ukulele, banjo, lap-dulcimer and piano privately in her home and on Zoom. She has successfully launched many beginning guitarists and ukulele players at the legendary Ramblin' Conrad’s Folklore Center in Norfolk and from her group guitar classes at Common Ground on the Hill in Westminster MD and Norfolk Parks & Rec.  She hosts a Micro Concert & Workshop Series at Colonial Place Music Studio, plays in the live music bands for the Norfolk Contra Dance, performs with the Tidewater Classical Guitar Orchestra and has worked with Young Audiences of Virginia, facilitating theatre workshops for Norfolk school children.
